This is a picture of the Lily Pond in front of the Botanical Building at Balboa Park. The gorgeous structure at the end of the pond is actually two buildings, Casa de Balboa on the left and the House of Hospitality on the right connected by a columned walkway.
I've always thought that Balboa Park is magical place, somewhere I could go to retreat from my problems and have my mind wander with daydreams. But I struggled with how to show that in my photography. Although the buildings here are beautiful and appear almost as if they are a part of a castle, when I came here to photograph I felt my work was missing the spirit of the place. On this day I was struggling, I walked around the pond several times and being frustrated I decided to go home without shooting. But as I was walking away, I had a brief flash of insignt, and I came back to take this picture through the balusters on the bridge.

Acrylic Fine Art Print with a Float Mount — Ready to Hang
This is a photographic print where the front has been directly adhered to a sheet of TruLife acrylic which is an ultra clear, scratch resistant, and anti-reflective glazing. This process is known as face mounting. The acrylic captures light internally and bounces it off the surface of the print resulting in a display with incredible depth and vibrancy. With proper lighting, the acrylic print will appear to have light emanating from the image itself. The back of the print is sealed with another layer of protective acrylic.
The print comes ready to hang with hidden mounting hardware on the back that makes the print appear as if it is floating in front of the wall. No additional framing is needed. Choose this medium for a modern and minimalist presentation.
